TNF Celebrates Eid with First-Year University Scholarship Beneficiaries at Central University

St.Bakhita Girls with TNF at Central Univesity

Since its inception in 2022, the Theresa-Naomi Foundation (TNF) has been committed to advancing access to quality education by supporting first-year Senior High School (SHS) students through its Scholarship and Mentorship Program. In 2025, we proudly expanded this initiative to include first-year university students, further strengthening our mission to empower underserved youth through education. Our scholarship program provides essential support in the form of tuition contributions, learning materials, stationery, and basic provisions—ensuring that no deserving student is left behind due to financial constraints. Eid Holiday Visit to Central University On Tuesday, 1st April 2025, the TNF team marked the Eid holiday with a heartwarming visit to our maiden university scholarship beneficiaries at Central University, Miotso Campus. The visit was not only a check-in on their academic journey but also an opportunity to encourage, bond, and provide care packages to these remarkable young women. Meet the Beneficiaries Our 2025 university scholarship recipients include: These young women have demonstrated resilience, potential, and a hunger for success—qualities TNF is proud to nurture. Highlights of the Visit The visit was led by TNF team members Nurudin Wahab, Jennifer Addo, and Rebecca Siaw, who spent the morning sharing breakfast, conversations, and words of encouragement with the students. One of TNF’s lead sponsors, Dr. Ibrahim Dakubo, held a special engagement session with the girls. He emphasized that with determination and focus, they could achieve greatness. “Focus on your studies and leave the rest to TNF and St. Bakhita to worry about,” he encouraged. Dr. Dakubo concluded his session with a heartfelt prayer for the students’ success. Miss Rebecca Siaw presented the Eid gift packages to the students and closed the event with a prayer of gratitude and strength. The visit concluded with a walk around the university campus and some joyful photo moments. A Call to Action TNF remains committed to inclusive education and youth empowerment. In 2025, we aim to support 10 new students (3 university students and 7 SHS students), including 2 deaf students—a testament to our promise of inclusivity. 🙏 You can be part of this impact. Dear Supporters, Partners, and Friends, As 2024 draws to a close, we take a moment to reflect on the incredible milestones we achieved together. This year has been filled with growth, impactful programs, and transformative experiences for the communities we serve. None of these would have been possible without your unwavering support. Here are some highlights from the year: In April, we awarded scholarships to 10 outstanding students facing economic challenges. Each recipient received financial support and a savings account with Fidelity Bank to promote financial responsibility. This initiative continues to break cycles of poverty and empower young minds. Life and Exams Workshop – June 2024 June marked the successful launch of our “Life and Exams” Workshop, where over 300 BECE candidates from four schools participated: •MOH-Ministry of Health Basic School •Korle Gonno Methodist School •Weija Model Basic School •Weija M/A 3 Basic School Participants gained skills in effective studying, time management, and stress management. The event also featured sessions on climate change, as well as the distribution of mathematical sets, pencils, rulers, and sanitary kits for female students. TNF Memorial Day – September 2024 In September, we honored our founders, Theresa and Naomi, with a visit to the School for the Deaf in Mampong. The day included educational workshops, games, and a special feminine hygiene session where sanitary kits were donated. We also planted coconut, pear, and mango trees on the school campus, fostering environmental sustainability. Volunteers Get-Together – December 2024 To end the year, we celebrated our dedicated volunteers with a festive event at Rehab Beach. This gathering was filled with laughter, reflection, and recognition for their invaluable contributions. Our volunteers are the backbone of our foundation, and their passion continues to inspire our mission. Looking Ahead to 2025 In 2025, we aim to: •Expand our Scholarship Program to reach more deserving students. •Enhance our workshops for youth development. •Strengthen community engagement through impactful outreach. •Build strategic partnerships to ensure sustainability and amplify our impact. Thank You To our donors, volunteers, and supporters: thank you for being part of this journey. Your kindness fuels our work and brings hope to many lives.
